Who am I?
My name is Deanna and I am the owner of TROPICAL TREKS LTD, and affiliated with BACONKO TRAVELS out of Edmonton, AB.
Beyond my successful career in the travel industry, I am a mom of 3 and a ‘gigi’ to a gorgeous 3 yr old.
My journey has been marked by diverse experiences, including certification as a doula, and a paramedic with the City of Edmonton.
Following a back injury at work in 2022, I redirected my passion towards travel, where I want to leverage my knowledge to help you create unforgettable memories worldwide.
With a keen eye for detail, I specialize in ensuring that every aspect of your vacation is meticulously planned, leaving no stone unturned.

If the medical emergency is needing a Medevac out of Mexico, back home to Canada, we are able to assist with this entire process.
An emergency in itself can be terrifying.
Imagine how much worse it can be while in another country, a different language.
If you or your loved one is cleared to fly home on a commercial flight, but is in need of a medical accompaniment, maybe for pain or nausea control, we have paramedics and RNs on staff, ready to help bring you back home.
If you are needing a medevac, we have emergency physicians, and contacts with numerous flight companies, to arrange transport, all while under the care of medical professionals, from the beginning to the hand over to the staff within the designated Canadian hospital

FAQ.....
Do I need to pay the full amount when I book my trip?
Upon booking, most flight/hotel packages require a deposit of $250 pp. This secures your trip and you can make payments at your convenience until approx 60 days prior to travelling.
I do not have a credit card. Do you have other payment options?
You can send an etransfer and we will make the payment on a company credit card.
Do I need insurance?
I absolutely will suggest that you have both travel and medical insurance. I deal exclusively with Manulife for medical insurance. If you decide to decline, I will have a waiver for you to sign.
What do you charge for your time?
All the information I give you is completely free. If you book, there is always a commission built into the price, whether you book through me or any additional site.
What types of vacations do you plan?
I can plan anything from a group trip to Europe, a girfriends trip to Nashville, a romantic week in Mexico, a family trip to Disney, a guys fishing getaway or a quiet week away just for you.
